The TTL Safe home is usually used as a temporary home to help severely malnourished children gain weight and get healthy. However, we are also used as a safe landing spot for children who need a temporary home due to loss of family, abuse, or neglect. This does not happen very often, yet this week have have welcomed 2 newborns into the safe home. A 9 day old and 10 day old came to us last weekend. One of these babies will stay with us longer than the other as his Mom passed away due to complications during labor. The other will go home once his Mother returns from Maseru Hospital recovering from complications during labor as well. While we wish it was under different circumstances that we get to hang out with these 2 beautiful babies, we are very happy to be providing them a safe place to be and grow.
